Warren Jeffs had his Initial Appearance and Arraignment in front of Judge Conn in Mohave County Superior Court, Division III. The Defendant pled Not Guilty, and the next hearing is called the Case Management Hearing and has been set for 8:15 a.m., on March 19, 2008.

The Defendant pled Not Guilty to the charges. There are three separate and distinct cases involving a total of ten felony counts against Mr. Jeffs. In one case there are two counts of Sexual Conduct with a Minor and two counts of Incest. In a second case there are two counts of Sexual Conduct with a Minor and two counts of Incest. In a third case there is one count of Sexual Conduct with a Minor and one count of Conspiracy to Commit Sexual Conduct with a Minor. Those are all of the pending charges.

Sexual Conduct with a Minor and Conspiracy to Commit Sexual Conduct with a Minor are Class 6 felonies that are punishable either by Probation or Prison, which can be anywhere from four months to two years. The Incest charge is a Class 4 felony and is also punishable either by Probation or a Prison sentence between one and 3.75 years.
