About theHOPEorg.org

HOPE's web site provides educational information and news reporting on matters related to polygamy practiced by Fundamentalist Mormons living in areas such as the Utah/Arizona Strip communities of Hildale, Colorado City and Centennial Park; the Idaho/Canada border communities; Eldorado, Texas; Mancos, Colorado and the Pringle, South Dakota polygamous compounds.  Some members of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (FLDS) polygamous group have also recently moved to Mesquite and Las Vegas, Nevada in addition to Lockney, Texas.  Our web site offers true stories of some of the victims of abuse, current and past events in the news regarding the issues surrounding these secretive "closed" societies, and a portal to contact elected officials to voice your opinions about these matters.

These media articles provide information on events and issues affecting the victims we serve.  They are posted on our web site under the "Fair Use" rule of the 1976 Copyright Act and are intended for non-profit educational and/or research purposes only.

Under Utah Code (76-5-401.2) a person 10 years or more the senior of a sexual partner that is 16 or 17 years old is committing unlawful sexual conduct, a third degree felony.  It is believed that, in many instances, the men marrying the underage girls are at least that much older.

Your tax-deductible donation to The HOPE Organization will help us offer support, protection, assistance, refuge and hope for the women and young adults (both boys and girls) who have been kicked out or have chosen to leave this lifestyle.

Your contribution would be greatly appreciated; your generosity will help change people's lives!

The HOPE Organization is a non-profit group dedicated to assisting survivors of abuse within polygamous relationships
on their courageous journey to personal freedom.

  • We are just ordinary citizens who share a concern for the welfare and safety of the women and children living in polygamy.

  • We are advocates working to make a difference in the lives of the women and boys and girls, who are often oppressed and living in intellectual, social and physical isolation.
