When
polygamous sect leader Warren Jeffs was arrested in August of 2006,
authorities in two states wanted a piece of him. On March 7, 2007, a
federal grand jury in Salt Lake City indicted Jeffs, accusing him of
unlawfully avoiding prosecution on Utah sex charges for a five month
period in 2006. However, Jeffs also faces felony charges in Arizona for
his alleged role in arranging underage marriages for his followers.
